Privacy policy

Kenthurst Medical & Cosmetic Centre handles your personal and health information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and NSW health records law.

This website

This website itself does not collect personal information: there are no forms, no user accounts, no analytics and no tracking cookies. Online bookings happen on HotDoc's own site under HotDoc's privacy policy, and the map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps.

What we collect at the practice

To provide safe care we collect information such as your name, contact details, date of birth, Medicare and concession details, next of kin, and your health information: medical history, medications, allergies, immunisations, test results, and notes from your consultations.

Why we collect it

Your information is used to provide and coordinate your medical care, to claim and bill correctly (including Medicare), to send reminders you have not opted out of, and to meet our legal and professional obligations. We do not use your health information for marketing.

Who we share it with

Your information is shared only as needed for your care and with your consent: with the practitioners treating you, with pathology, imaging or specialist services you are referred to, and with Services Australia for Medicare claims. Online bookings and reminders are handled through HotDoc, which stores the details you enter when booking. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not send it overseas.

How it is stored

Records are held in secure practice systems with access restricted to your treating practitioners. Administrative staff cannot view your medical records.

Access and correction

You can request access to your medical records, and ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date, by contacting the practice on (02) 9654 0552 or at info@kenthurstmedical.com. We will respond within a reasonable time; a fee may apply for preparing copies.

Concerns and complaints

If you are concerned about how your information has been handled, please raise it with us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or, for health services in NSW, contact the Health Care Complaints Commission.
